Beginner squash rackets
If you are a beginner, you have come to the right place – I have reviewed four squash rackets that are really great choice for anyone who is just starting playing squash.
Please bear in mind the fundamental idea behind these racquets – they are really cheap. That`s great of course but it also means that the quality is not at 100%. The materials used, the durability, a lot is sacrificed here to make the price lower.
Also as a beginner you will probably hit the wall or floor accidentally a few times (everybody experience it, believe me 
) – and although it does not happen often, the racquet can break. And breaking a $25 raquet is still better than a seventy dollar one.
So what`s my advice for you?
- if you have never played squash
- if you are not sure if you will stick to it
- if you plan to play it only occasionally
the beginner class squash racket is exactly what you need. You should start with this one, try a few games and after several weeks or month you`ll get much better view. Then you can decide if the cheap raquet is enough for you or if you want to upgrade to some better gear.
But if your goals are to
- get a lot better in squash
- play more often
- develop your playing style, strategy and tactics
- or even consider participating in some tournaments
then the basic equipment for beginners will just slow you down. The price gap between beginner and advanced squash rackets isn`t any large but you will notice the difference in quality immediately. And these racquets will also last you much longer. Check out the advanced squash rackets section.

Weight: 188 g (heavy) Material: graphite/aluminium Balance: 315 mm (head light) Head size: 485 cm sq The first beginner squash racket on our list is the cheapest one – just 28 dollars on Amazon. Of course don`t expect any superb stuff for this price but for beginners or kids it is completely sufficient. The balance is a lot towards the handle so it delivers good control of the ball. I personally started with a similar Head racquet – and was satisfied, it served me well. Summary: Cheapest but not perfect

Weight: 180 g (medium-weight / heavy) Material: graphite-aluminium You can also start your squash career with a starter set – Prince has one in it`s assortment and it contains a racket of course, carry bag with a shoulderstrap, 2 balls, protective glasses and a booklet about playing squash. I prefer to buy all the stuff separately (and some I don`t even use, like the eyewear for example) – but I don`t want to discourage you, the kit is an easy way to get everything you need and start playing right away. Weight: 200 g (weight) Material: composite Fiberglass/Titanium alloy Balance: head light Head size: 525 cm sq Also very cheap racket – it`s great for beginners because of the oversized head (525 sq cm) – so hitting the ball will be easier. Your strokes will be very powerful thanks to the 200 g heavy frame. The balance is towards the handle. Summary: Cheap and good

Weight: 155 g (medium-weight) Balance: 350 mm (even) Head size: 484 cm sq This racket made by Prince is little bit more expensive but also better – it delivers everything what a beginner or even intermediate player needs. Large sweet spot, good weight and balance, it has the performance of much more expensive rackets. Summary: Slightly more expensive but also better
